The video file that GrabBeeII/III creates is in AVI format which requires more disk space. Three seconds of AVI file can be as big as 3 megabytes (you can change the setting to reduce the image size.) So, if you want to make a short video clip, or you have a large hard disk, you can go with GrabBee. Otherwise, we would recommend AV@MPEG2 or VCD Producer Pro because they have a hardware mpeg encoder which compresses the file size. GrabBeeII is an audio-less version of GrabBeeIII for those who do not need the audio.

If you just want to watch TV on your PC monitor without a recording function, use ViewTV. ViewTV is a complete stand-alone hardware product and does not require any software installation. And if you want to control the channels, record video clips and still images, then you need either Cute! USB TV or TV@MPG. Cute! USB TV saves video clips in an AVI format, which requires more disk space than the MPG format TV@MPG uses.

PC/TV Genie is a convertor box that converts a PC video signal into a NTSC composite video signal. So you can record your PC screen on your VCR. Or you can connect your TV screen to your PC. Because most TV's have less screen resolution than a PC, it is technically difficult to see the PC screen on your TV if your PC resolution is set higher than 640x480. But you can still get an overview and then zoom in to any part of the screen to see the details.
